13-Year-Old Dog Spent His Whole Life At Shelter, Until Senior Veteran Adopted Him

A 13-year-old canine named Sam spent his whole life with the same guardian, but unfortunately, his guardian deployed to the Navy and relinquished him to a shelter, which shattered his life completely.

Since the German Shepherd was so advanced in age, no one was willing to provide him with a second opportunity. Day after day, nothing changed, so the shelter decided to humanely put him down to make room for new dogs.

Interestingly, George Johnson, a 93-year-old Navy veteran, was seeking to adopt a white German Shepherd, as his own had passed away. That’s when he eventually encountered Sam and immediately developed a strong affection for him. Sam, the white German Shepherd, is incredibly charming and sociable.
