Sweet Velveteen Hippo, Neveah, Must Be Released from Canine Confinement Immediately

A kind and smooth-coated lady named Neveah is tired of being in the shelter and needs someone to rescue her quickly! The truth is, time passes quickly for all of us, and dogs’ lives are no exception. This plump and lovable hippopotamus of a dog is a beautiful senior who ended up at PACC after her long-time home was no longer suitable.

It’s a heartbreaking situation, but we must move on. Here’s a list of Neveah’s wonderful qualities along with some essential information.

Rescue Dog Needs Retirement Home Neveah, a spayed pit bull with a beautiful blue/gray coat and a slightly skewed nose, weighs around 72 pounds. Her age is estimated to be around 10 years old, which means she is a sweet senior.

Before arriving at Pima Animal Care Center, she lived in a home with other dogs, was trained to be housebroken, and enjoyed sleeping in her owner’s bed for seven years. Unfortunately, Neveah has now been at PACC for a long time, and she is one of their long-term residents, which is not ideal for any dog.

It’s time for Neveah to find a retirement home as soon as possible. She would prefer to live in an all-inclusive 55+ community with amenities like golf, a pool, and more, but she is open to discussing the details. She enjoys her play pool, which is something to keep in mind.

“Neveah is quite popular! Whenever I go to take her for a walk, she has already been taken out by one of her many fans. She has a lot of admirers! Neveah enjoys her walks in the morning when it’s still cool outside, and she’s not interested in marathon training. She’s a relaxed, easy-to-walk dog who is excellent company. I absolutely love her!”

“Neveah is a calm dog who takes treats gently and is easy to leash. She would be thrilled to find a new family to be with.”

Pima Animal Rescue Center According to PACC:

“Neveah can be social with other dogs in playgroup, but her greetings may be a little clumsy. We recommend meeting any resident dogs to ensure they are a good match for each other.

“This beautiful, soft hippo would love to get out of the noisy shelter and cuddle up in a bed, preferably yours. She has been at the shelter since February 18, 2022, in Kennel D224, and she is ready to be adopted today! If you or someone you know may be interested in adopting Neveah, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov with any additional questions. Her ID# is A769845. Please share her story to increase her chances of adoption!”
